How Spotcast Works
An overview of Spotcast for organizers and talent — discovery, booking, verification, and payouts.
Spotcast is a booking platform that connects event organizers with speakers, moderators, performers, and hosts. It covers the journey from discovery through confirmed bookings and post-event settlement — with transparent profiles, structured offers, and verification for professional use.
This page summarizes how the platform works for both sides of the marketplace.
Who Spotcast is for
Event organizers and bookers use Spotcast to find talent for conferences, corporate events, team offsites, galas, and private functions. Browse by topic, compare profiles on the talent directory, and submit inquiries without cold-emailing dozens of contacts.
Talents and agencies list profiles, publish offerings, manage availability, and respond to booking requests. Learn more on For Talents or For Bookers.
Discovery and profiles
Each talent has a public profile with bio, photos, topics, tags, languages, media embeds, and offerings. Profiles are optimized for search engines and can be embedded on external websites via Spotcast’s widget.
Organizers filter by category pages such as business, technology, or culture, and by curated lists including featured and top-rated talent.
The booking flow
- Inquiry — A booker submits a request with event details
- Offer — The talent responds with a formal offer (fee, format, terms)
- Acceptance — The booker accepts; the booking becomes approved
- Event — Both parties coordinate details in Spotcast’s booking workspace
- Completion & payment — After the event, the agreed settlement process runs through the platform
Status transitions, fees, and cancellation rules are documented in Help: Bookings. Common questions appear in the FAQ.
Trust and verification
Spotcast emphasizes professional use:
- Profile verification for identity confirmation
- Reviews from completed bookings
- References talents add to their profiles
- Partner stage badges for verified performances at partner venues
These signals help organizers assess fit before committing.
Pricing transparency
Talents set their own offering prices or quote on request. Spotcast displays fees clearly in offers so bookers compare apples to apples. Travel and expense expectations should be clarified in the inquiry or offer — see Speaker fees and travel costs.
For talents and agencies, subscription and commission are explained in How Spotcast Pricing Works.
Payouts and loyalty
Talents receive payouts through Spotcast’s payment integration after completed events. Repeat bookings can contribute to loyalty tiers that adjust discovery commission over time.
