How to Create a Great Spotcast Profile
Optimize your talent profile for search, trust, and bookings — bio, photos, topics, tags, and offerings.
Your Spotcast profile is your storefront. Organizers discover you through search, topic pages, and recommendations — then decide in seconds whether to inquire. A complete, specific profile ranks better and converts more booking requests.
This guide aligns with Spotcast’s profile completeness criteria: the fields that matter most for visibility and trust.
Write a profession line that clarifies your role
Your profession appears in search results and profile headers. Use a clear title longer than a few characters — for example “Keynote Speaker on Leadership” rather than “Speaker.” Specificity helps bookers understand your niche immediately.
Craft a long, specific bio
Aim for at least 150 characters; stronger profiles often exceed 400. Cover:
- What you speak or perform about
- Typical event formats (keynotes, panels, workshops)
- Notable audiences or industries
- What makes your perspective distinctive
Avoid copying your LinkedIn headline verbatim. Search engines and bookers both reward unique, readable text.
Upload at least three professional photos
Use high-quality images that show you on stage, facilitating, or in professional context. Add captions or photo credits to at least half your images — this improves accessibility and signals polish.
Profiles with three or more images perform better in discovery and look credible on embed widgets you share on your own site.
Select topics, tags, and languages
Topics (categories) connect you to topic browse pages — choose every area that genuinely matches your work, up to the platform limit.
Tags add granular discoverability. Aim for at least three relevant tags (e.g. “female leadership,” “AI ethics,” “moderation”).
Languages list every language you can present in confidently. Multilingual profiles appear in more organizer searches across DACH and Europe.
Set your location and travel countries
Add your base city so regional bookers find you. If you travel for events, specify countries you are available to work in — this filters mismatched inquiries.
Add offerings bookers can actually purchase
Create at least one offering with a clear name, teaser, duration, and price or “price on request.” Offerings turn profile views into actionable inquiries.
Describe what is included so bookers do not have to guess.
Build trust with references and media
Optional but valuable:
- Video embeds — show your stage presence
- Podcast embeds — demonstrate conversational expertise
- References — client quotes, company references, awards, or notable appearances
- Social links — website, LinkedIn, or other professional profiles
These fields carry less weight than bio and photos for search, but they often tip bookers from “maybe” to “inquire.”
Get verified
Complete identity verification when eligible. Verified badges increase trust, especially for corporate bookers comparing unfamiliar names.
Promote your profile externally
Share your Spotcast link and embed widget on your website and email signature. Bookings from your own traffic can qualify for reduced platform commission — see onboarding details when you list.
