How Spotcast Pricing Works
Subscription, commission, and service fees explained for talents and agencies.
Spotcast uses a two-part pricing model: a monthly subscription for platform tools, and per-booking fees that depend on how the client discovers you. This guide explains both parts so you know exactly what you pay — and when Spotcast earns a commission.
The two parts of Spotcast pricing
| Part | When it applies | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly subscription | Every month, regardless of bookings | Profile, booking engine, dashboard, Stripe payouts, embed widget, support |
| Per-booking fees | Only when a booking is completed | Spotcast commission (traffic-dependent) + 2.5% service fee |
These are separate by design. Your subscription pays for the infrastructure you use every day. Commission is Spotcast's share when we help you win a booking — either by bringing you a new client or by processing a payment on your behalf.
What your subscription includes
Every plan (Solo, Solo+, Agency) includes:
- SEO-optimized talent profile on spotcast.live
- Real-time booking dashboard with live chat
- Stripe Connect payouts and PDF invoices
- Embeddable booking widget and QR code
- Offer management with PDF attachments
- Onboarding support (one-time setup fee: €49)
Your subscription does not include commission on bookings. That is calculated separately based on how the client discovered you.
When Spotcast takes commission — and when it doesn't
Spotcast tracks how each client discovered you:
Your own traffic (embed, link, QR code)
When a booker uses your embed widget, direct booking link, or QR code, the booking is attributed to your marketing. Spotcast did not bring this client — you did.
| Plan | Spotcast commission on own traffic |
|---|---|
| Solo | 5% |
| Solo+ | 0% |
| Agency | 0% |
Spotcast discovery (spotcast.live)
When a booker finds you through Spotcast search, category pages, featured listings, or newsletters, Spotcast brought you the client. Standard commission is 25%, reducible through the Loyalty Program.
| Loyalty tier | Completed bookings | Effective commission |
|---|---|---|
| Beginner | 0 | 25% |
| Bronze | 5 | 23.75% |
| Silver | 25 | 22.5% |
| Gold | 50 | 21.25% |
| Platinum | 100 | 20% |
| Diamond | 500 | 17.5% |
| Emerald | 1,000 | 12.5% |
Loyalty reduces discovery commission only. It does not affect the service fee or own-traffic rates.
The 2.5% service fee
Every booking includes a flat 2.5% service fee, regardless of how the client discovered you or which plan you are on. This covers payment infrastructure (Stripe processing, invoicing, payout handling) — it is separate from Spotcast commission and is not a profit margin.
The service fee always applies, even when Spotcast commission is 0% (e.g. own-traffic bookings on Solo+ or Agency).

How this compares to the market
Spotcast's model is similar to established marketplace + SaaS platforms:
- Eversports (sports studios): €49–€229/month subscription + 25% commission on marketplace new customers. Existing customers: 0% commission.
- Speaker bureaus: 15–30% commission, often hidden inside the speaker fee, with no platform tools, booking dashboard, or payment infrastructure included.
- Talkadot (speaker marketplace): 20–30% take rate from the speaker side, no SaaS subscription.
Spotcast is more transparent than traditional bureaus: you see the breakdown, you keep your own audience at 0–5%, and you get a full booking platform for the subscription.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I pay a subscription AND commission?
The subscription pays for the platform you use every month — profile, booking engine, dashboard, payouts, and support. Commission is only charged when a booking happens, and only when Spotcast adds value (discovery traffic) or at a reduced rate on Solo own-traffic bookings.
Think of it like a hotel using booking.com: you pay for the booking system (subscription), and booking.com earns a commission when they send you a guest (discovery). When a guest books directly through the hotel's own website, commission is lower or zero.
Can I avoid commission entirely?
On Solo+ and Agency, own-traffic bookings (embed, link, QR) have zero Spotcast commission. You only pay the 2.5% service fee for payment processing.
If all your bookings come through your own channels, commission is effectively eliminated — you only pay the subscription and the flat service fee.
Who pays Stripe fees?
Stripe payment processing fees are handled within the platform's payment flow. The 2.5% service fee covers Spotcast's payment infrastructure costs. See Stripe pricing and our Terms of Service for details.
Does loyalty reduce my subscription fee?
No. The Loyalty Program reduces discovery commission only. Your monthly subscription stays the same regardless of tier.
What plan should I choose for own-traffic bookings?
If most of your bookings come from your own website, social media, or events:
- Solo+ or Agency — 0% commission on own traffic
- Solo — 5% commission on own traffic (lower monthly cost, higher per-booking fee on own traffic)
