Bio
Meine persönliche Entwicklung begleitet mich seit vielen Jahren.
English Version:
For almost 15 years, I have been playing beach volleyball at the highest level. I have been Austrian Champion several times, competed at the Olympic Games, and have repeatedly ranked among the world’s Top 10. Along the way, I have won numerous medals and trophies and travelled the world through sport.
Alongside my sporting career, I completed an MBA in Business Administration and Sports and am currently completing my law degree. Further training in life coaching and mediation, combined with my curiosity and passion for understanding people and the world, have shaped the path I am on today.
Personal development has been an equally important part of my journey. After the Olympic Games in Rio, I chose to pursue more freedom and passion in my sport — to enjoy the process more and let go of the pressure. What began as a change in my approach to sport ultimately led me into a much deeper exploration of personal development.
Over the years, I have worked extensively on my childhood, fears, dreams, and beliefs. This process has given me a different understanding of the world and a sense of freedom — the freedom to pursue what truly matters and to go all in on what I believe in. I have also spent more than ten years exploring sports-related mental training with different mental coaches and approaches.
My family and my past have also played an important role in shaping who I am. I grew up as the first son and second child in a family of six, with an Austrian father and Dutch mother. My parents divorced when I was 18, after a loving relationship marked by both highs and lows. Family challenges and several moves were difficult at times, but they also gave me a deep understanding of the full spectrum of human emotions.
The deeper and more intensely we experience our emotions, the higher we can ultimately rise. As my mother, an excellent psychotherapist, has always said: “The treasure lies in the shadow.”
My perspective is also influenced by a wide range of books, philosophies, and traditions from around the world. Siddhartha, The Alchemist, and When Nietzsche Wept are among my favourites. I draw inspiration from Indian, Chinese, and Western philosophies, as well as from the natural sciences and quantum physics.
All of these experiences, perspectives, and influences come together in the way I see people, performance, and life today.
